The United States Group of the AIPPI announces the initiation of the AIPPI IP Award. A $10,000 prize will be given to an individual who has made a significant contribution to the progress of intellectual property rights on an international level.

Any type of activity that is in the spirit of harmonization of intellectual property rights, international conventions, treaties or initiatives, or the advance of intellectual property rights on a national level facilitating the use of the U.S. patent system globally is eligible for consideration. The United States Group of the AIPPI also announces its request for nominations for the 2008 AIPPI IP Award. Nominations are due on or before July 7, 2008.
