AIPPI-US Reception

AIPPI-US participated in the USPTO’s Asia-Pacific Patent Cooperation in the 21st Century Conference, held in Washington D.C. between March 6-8, 2011, at which a discussion of patent law harmonization initiatives through the APEC organization was held. We sponsored a reception for the delegates on Sunday, March 6. We had great representation from the AIPPI-US Group in attendance at the event, which provided us with the opportunity to meet and talk to the more than 50 IP leaders from more than 23 different countries. Two of our members’ law firms also provided sponsorship to help cover the costs of the reception. We were also honored to have AIPPI Vice President John Bochnovic attend and give brief remarks. Several AIPPI-US members then attended the Monday morning session on March 7.
